The rectangular building has a projecting gabled wing with an iron grill door. There are barred, slit windows under the eaves. Walls are in coursed rustication on plinth and arris' distinguish the openings and corners. Roofs are gabled and clad in slate. Carlton Police Station 334-344 Drummond Street,, CARLTON VIC 3053 - Property No B5132	A two storey brick building was designed by William Steel and George Watson, both architects in the Public Works Department, and erected in 1878 by William Smith.
